Sensitivity to Song Lyrics

Some would assume that lyrics are reflective of the author's opinions on things, but that might not be the case.  In fact, they could be writing about the way someone else thinks.  It's like how an actor portrays someone else who, actually, might have little or no personality resemblance to the actor.

Anyway, this whole mess has popped up time for time with music as many are angered by certain lyrics which may or may not have been taken the wrong way.

I don't care either really.   Anyway,  rock and hip-hop is into shock and rebellion, so why is anyone surprised?

I don't get too involved with where the lyrics came from. In fact I'd find it hard to believe any artist could pump out 100+ songs and still be singing about their personal experiences. Granted, it does seem like songs that are truly excellent are often based on real life experiences.
