Neil Peart
Shannon Larkin
Jaska Raatikainen
Dave Mackintosh

Those are just 4 of my favorite. There's way too many 'awesome' drummers to name. Also, The Rev was also badass.

Stewart Copeland from The Police. His syncopation is just ridiculous. I also like how he manages to be so good without resorting to playing as fast or loudly as he can. It's just pure, technical skill.

I keep forgetting about Copeland, he's pretty talented. My dad's a drummer and a police fan, so he keeps mentioning him.

I once tried to transcribe Message in a Bottle so I could learn it and gave up sometime during the first verse. The complex, it hurt. ;_;

If you're not paying attention, it sounds pretty simple, but at further investigation, nope.

I like Scott Phillips quite a lot. He's not the best technically but he knows what to play and when. Thomas Lang is another favourite.

There's one other guy too that I can't remember the name of and it's pissing me off. Pretty sure he's got a slight lisp. Either way, he came to my town once to show us some things, which he did brilliantly. Played two different beats at once.

EDIT: Virgil Donati is who I was thinking of.

My favourite is John Bonham (from Led Zeppelin). Sadly, he's dead...

I like Matt Halper from Periphery. I really his style plus he is just a solid drummer.
