I can't really say what's my favorite, but I do know dropped opens up opportunities! You can do so much more and even tackle some Police material! Anyway, I've tried several different turnings.

I don't play so much anymore, but I always played in standard tuning.

I don't think alt tunings are that tough to create. Well, with some stuff it's absolutely necessary. Anyway, I usually use standard tuning.
