In the I, IV, V progression, a common one that beginners learn, the ii can be important.

OK, in the C progression, the ii chord would be dm (D minor).

C (I), ii (Dm), F (IV), G (V), Am (vi)

To see the pattern look at the E progression also:

E (I), ii (F#m), A (IV), B (V), C#m (vi)

For a lot of students with the Guitar who are beginners, A good way to remember how to pull of an Fmaj and Bmaj Is labeling them "Fuck That" and "Bitch Please"

Instant immersion - rather than a lot of strange chord memorization and theory, might be a better idea for some students.
