Let's start talking about one of the best (and most overlooked) bands, HUM.

 Think of Smashing Pumpkins but, Amplify it with super sweet rocking tunes, fat guitar tones, Hard hitting backing drus and dark lyrics . Matt Talbott (the lead singer) is an incredible songwriter and easily my favorite but, He is an Acquired taste vocally.

I'll admit Matt really put me off of the band when I first listened but, His low range really has grown with sort of a "More is less" vibe that makes him My Fav Vocalist. He's kinda like Geddy Lee from Rush where you just get used to it the more you listen.

Check out "Diffuse", at the 3:33 mark He begins to scream the vox and this is what REALLY made me start to appreciate him as a whole.

I don’t have a problem with Geddy Lee, it’s more of the lower range voices you hear in punk singers like the guy from Jawbreaker, or Lifetime.

Oh yeah, I understand there. Jawbreaker is still a Band I'm on and off with even instrumentally. Thank god HUM isn't punk or else I really wouldn't take Matt as Seriously.
