The radio overplays them so many are burnt out.  It's a shame cause they're good artists.  Any thoughts?   Well, you don't really have to listen to the radio or specific stations, but people working at certain jobs or a gym might be forced to listen - unless they have earplugs.  Big Grin

I donâ€t listen to the radio, or work in a place with one, so Iâ€m immune to this. When I did, it was whatever was in the top 5 of the charts, as youâ€ll hear those 5 songs multiple times a day

The radio stations in my local area play The Offspring quite a lot, particularly their song "Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)". I like The Offspring, but hearing their songs played on the radio so often is off-putting.

There were a few songs I used to hate just because it was overplayed.

The big ones were Dare You To Move by Switchfoot and The Reason by Hoobastank. Itâ€s annoying when you hear it on the radio, then change the station, and then it pops up immediately after whatever song was playing.

I would imagine that Imagine Dragons is up there for overplayed rock bands.

One way to avoid listening to overplayed stuff is to simply not listen to the radio, especially classic rock. Anyway, though, some can't avoid overplayed music at work and they might not be allowed to have earplugs.
