Yeah, picking up the games after not playing them for so long, the rhythms were pretty off. My natual instinct as a guitarist was to match the rhythm, but you're supposed to match with the notes coming on screen.

Yeah, I remember trying to do the drums, but if I just listened to the song and tried to play along I totally lost, haha.

Yeah I could never get used to the note rhythms and not the music rhythms. I think I got up to Knights of Cydonia on expert (or hard, I forget) before I got bored of GH3.

Guise, guise.
You can totally change the calibration in the options. Also, Marty Friedman solo >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Megadeth >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Metallica

The calibration fixes the delay between pressing the button and hitting the notes, not the notes being off from the music. This is from personal experience.

Ah.
I think you could still calibrate it in a way that makes it easier to hit at the right time.

The closest thing that worked for me in Guitar Hero was enabling Hyper Mode (or whatever it's called) where it speeds up the notes, and it feels a bit more accurate to the music.
