I play a bunch of single player RPG's. I'm working on the monstrous Dragon Warrior VII which takes 100 hours to beat with the first disc being only 60 hours.

Good lord. I think the longest game I've ever played probably took me around 30 or so hours, and that was an old SNES game called Rudra no Hihou

Once you start getting into RPG's, most of them take at least 30 hours with most of the modern ones taking between 40-60 hows.

I think I beat Final Fantasy 13 in 73 hours.

I want to start getting into traditional RPGs but I end up playing them so intermittently that I have trouble keeping up with the story.

I'm dead set on starting FFIV though.

Which version are you going to play? The DS version has the difficulty jacked up if you're getting that version.

SNES version. There's not a good DS emu that I've found yet really, which sucks because I also need to play Fire Emblem (I'd rather play the new one).

I mean there's NO$GBA but there's still a lot of issues with that unless you go through and get a couple other plugins to stop the sound issues and fps issues

Long story short I really should just buy a DS. But I already have my Vita..

So if you're going Emulator route, then get the GBA version. There's 3 versions of the SNES version, the official US release (called 2) is censored and has a lot of stuff taken out, then there's the easy type and hard type that are both fantranslated.

Then there's the PS1 port that's got loading time problems, but it's not censored like the US SNES version and got retranslated.

Also since you have the Vita, look up the FF4 complete collection that was for the PSP.

Oh nice, thanks for that bit of info. A censored version would be lame.
