I also pay for all my groceries and all of my schooling (or at least I earned the scholarships to pay for my schooling). And my cell phone bill. And whatever else comes up.Y u mad I've been thankful and more grateful than ever every day since I've gotten here. I'm going to repay my parents during this summer by working. And We've had a bag of carrots in the fridge for like a month, also still fine. Celery too. Honestly meat keeps less well than produce. But everything keeps basically forever in the freezer.I forgot to mention meat, actually. Yeah, I generally prepare store-bought meat a couple days at maximum after purchasing it. As for veggies, I have salad, and always take a vegetable soup with my lunch or dinner when at the cafeteria. (And starches are just long strings of the sugar molecule which your body breaks down to sugar as it digests it.) If you somehow managed to eat no carbohydrates at all, you would eventually die. You need them. The important thing with carbs is really to see what else you're getting, such as protein, vitamins, and minerals. You want to try to avoid empty calories (where its almost just sugar and no real other nutritional value.)That's true, but I'm mostly referring to added sugar, which comes in the aforementioned forms. I eat plenty of carbs (mostly starch) with all the pasta I eat. (09-20-2013, 06:20 PM)wwf Wrote: I got the stripper jobI want some of that.

Cooking for oneself is awesome, cheap and healthy. It just takes a time and motivation. I can't wait until I have my own kitchen next month and actually start doing that. It's also gratifying and easy to pick up with the Internet or just a little imagination/willingness to experiment.
Damn, now I'm hungry... So I'm singing with a band now. Well, we practiced altogether once now. That will be interesting. Just improvising/collabowriting with the group, I sound super Iggy Pop-esque, and I need to figure out how I want to work with that.

Something your grandma would recognize as an actual meal.Yeah, I'd assumed that. It's scary how much food we consume every day is in fact packed with loads of chemical ingredients. You're not alone, Joel. I love coconut too, every part of it. And speaking of food, making lunch right now like a boss. Gem squash, baby marrows and a pasta bake.

The fruit expert likes fruit. What else do you want?

Good enough for me. You know the other day my physics Professor told me that Wikipedia is a totally legitimate source among scientists. And he's an actual Physicist who researches atmospheric physics. That just makes me laugh about the fit all me high school teachers threw about it.
