What if your Grandma is so old she can't taste that well anymore? Like mine.

It's scary how much food we consume every day is in fact packed with loads of chemical ingredients. If you want a healthy alternative to *insert beverage here*, just drink water. Normal water. And tap water, because its ridiculously cheap and anything else is a huge ripoff.
Also its not that expensive to eat healthy. You just have to keep it simple, like I've mostly just been eating a chicken breast and some steamed vegetables for dinner since I've been at school. Really its not about magical "healthy foods", its just about getting the right balance of carbs, proteins, and lipids (fats), and then you want to try to get your vitamins and minerals in as well. You can do special things like gluten free and stuff, but thats just for some people.

She tried to explain to me all the states and how they fit together and then I realised...I can barely name all 9 of our provinces how the hell am I going to remember the states names and locations and all that jazz. Ok, I've been missing from the internet for two days, so I'm catching up. The answer to remembering all the states and how they fit together is rivers. Seriously. I know all of them. And "rivers" is the answer. One time I showed up to a friend's house in high school and I was stoned. Her little brother was even there (brother is a total stoner now), but everybody was all "whaaaaaa-" and I kicked ass at the Carmen Sandiego board game. Point it: Ohio is the only state with a southtern border formed by it's eponymous river and don't no bitch steal the Golden Gate Bridge under my watch. As such, I can't buy too many fruits or vegetables because those go bad really fast and thus must be eaten almost immediately. I'm also trying to reduce my sugar intake because that's what I've been eating a lot more since I got here, and sugar is EVERYWHERE. Sugar can take the form of glucose, dextrose, fructose, maltodextrin, corn syrup, maltose, dextrin, agave nectar... and sometimes not just one type of sugar appears in the ingredients list of a food item. And I'm not talking Pop Tarts or anything; they appear in croissants, "hearty" breakfast cereal, rice, even fruit and fruit juice. Tolerance to those foods are actually a mutation. /damoreuno

See, I have a car. And don't give me any "Well aren't you lucky" crap because I bought the car myself and I pay for my own gas and car insurance. I also pay for all my groceries and all of my schooling (or at least I earned the scholarships to pay for my schooling). And my cell phone bill. And whatever else comes up.
And theres this thing called refrigeration. I've had a bag of spinach in the freezer for like 3 weeks now and its still fine whenever I use some. And We've had a bag of carrots in the fridge for like a month, also still fine. Celery too. Honestly meat keeps less well than produce. But everything keeps basically forever in the freezer. And while its definitely good to try to reduce your refined sugar intake, I must make the point that there are pretty much only 2 types of Carbohydrates, sugar and starch. (And starches are just long strings of the sugar molecule which your body breaks down to sugar as it digests it.) If you somehow managed to eat no carbohydrates at all, you would eventually die. You need them. The important thing with carbs is really to see what else you're getting, such as protein, vitamins, and minerals. You want to try to avoid empty calories (where its almost just sugar and no real other nutritional value.)
