Speaking of guns, I had a discussion with an Australian over guns and she was saying that guns should be illegal, until I brought up that there are a lot of rural areas in the US where there's kind of a necessity to have one. She actually agreed to that, and said that's how Australia is with guns where you can "easily" get one if you're a farmer, or live in the middle of nowhere.
I brought that up on a forum run by some Brits and they simply responded "oh hell no, we don't give a fuck, also I doubt there's many places in the US that's really the middle of nowhere."
I guess if you live in a relatively small country like the UK, it's difficult to grasp the reality of how spread out much of the US is, especially anywhere outside out New England. I'm sure taking 3 hours to get to the nearest town is unheard of in the UK.
