This is true. My sense of humor works better in real life, because I tend to add in things like funny facial expressions. And I can't really do that online, lol. A lot of my humor online makes me laugh more than it makes anyone else laugh. hrug:

OMG this is what pisses me off guys.

This is embarrassing but I have an account at nation states (the government role playing game primarily played by fourteen year olds who just declare war on everyone) that I sometimes log into and the region I am in is full of people currently having this discussion:

One thing that I hate about Canada is the absolute ridiculousness of the aboriginal issue. It is absurd in my opinion to think these people are oppressed in the slightest. Aboriginals have countless incentives to attain higher education and well paying careers and yet they are the least educated and most unemployed. Reservations wish to be treated as sovereign nations yet they also demand support from the Federal government. Society as a whole is racist yet they are put at the advantage while the rest of us are the second hand citizens as we pay off the unending debt caused by our ancestors. Maybe aboriginals should look at themselves instead of everyone else as the source of the problem. This is not a racist opinion so save your breath, I simply request that all Canadians should be treated the same way regardless of their ethnicity regardless of their ethnicity.

Racism is just a pile of crap. People just hide behind racism as an excuse for why they dont have a good job, or why they dont fit it. In todays ultimately "Colourblind" society, those who yell "racism!" are the only racists.

Well [name removed for integrity purposes], I do agree with you. Myself, growing up amongst Blackfoot, Woodland Cree, Stoney and Metis in Western Canada; You make some pretty accurate arguments. In my house I have a map of Native Reserves in Canada and a lot of them are essentially out in the middle of nowhere. A recent study came out that suggested 4/10 Canadian Aboriginals live in poverty and sub-standard conditions but I mean, what can you do when the infanstructure simply doesn't exist out in the middle of nowhere?

You can move, although it costs a fortune. Infastructure could be improved with better coordination between the feds and band councils. Although someone would have to give up their sovereignty in the issue.

Since this is just my blog thread I want to express my resentment toward this attitude. I don't think it's worth going at them but maybe it'll lead to something here. This is the worst of the 'natives are more privileged than us' argument combined with the worst of the 'minorities should just work harder' argument.

Edit: To get a possible discussion aside from my normal rants going, what do all of you think about immigration? I'm reading on immigration to Britain (which I have done frequently in the past year or so for obvious reasons) I'd be interested in hearing some opinions. I get the feeling most people here are supportive of it, but even as someone who wants to move to Britain (only current goal is to study there as a legitimate student before you all go deporting me lol) I can understand some of the sentiment. There are legitimate concerns such as overpopulation.

Anyway, I'm just trying to do something besides just rant. <_<

It is quite sad. I made it two years ago when I saw a thread on it and I only log in when I'm really bored and it's night time so I can't really do anything else.

Immagration to Britain: I think it's easier to get in with a student visa that with a work visa. They are making it downright impossible for our country to get a work visa there. Y u hate SA, Britian? y?

I have no idea about other coutries though.
