I like their heavier stuff. Can't stand the singer most of the time though

Check out "Awake" or "Train of Thought" then. Sadly, you'll still have to deal with LeBrie's voice, but you learn to let it grow on you. (The well-written songs don't hurt with that, btw. )

I'm gonna have to give this band another shot. There doesn't seem to be a reason for me to dislike them since I like most other band in the genre

cool, so if you like their metal side more then check out Train of Thought, Black Clouds & Silver Linings, A Dramatic Turn Of Events and Awake. Also any DT fan should know Scenes From A Memory, it's a fucking master piece

Yea, I always kind of liked Train of Thought. I also had Octavarium but that was mostly because Panic Attack is fucking awesome.

I'll have check out the others.

"Awake" is where I'd start.

I used to be a huge fan of Dream Theater. Haven't gotten around to listening to their two most recent albums, though. Images & Words, and Scenes From a Memory probably being my favourite albums.
