Anime/Manga Thread

It's about these two guys trying to fulfill their dreams of becoming professional manga artists, and having their work become an anime.

I would only suggest the manga over the anime since the anime is still airing. There's also some art changes they make within the manga that fit with the story that you probably won't notice until TV tropes points it out for you.

Ironically, Death Note was my first anime (not counting DBZ, Pokemon, Yugioh, etc because I just watched them whenever they were on tv), and it's also my first manga, I just started the manga though. I prefer the anime so far because the pacing in the manga is too much.

Yeah, some of the pacing in Bakuman is a bit slow, when you read the manga and then watch the anime, you'll realize it's faster paced. They kind of cut out some of the dribble that goes on. Still a great manga.

Yeah it's only a few episodes but it's REALLY fucked up haha. There's a spinoff series where this guy robs a bank and goes into the girls bathroom and rapes two girls, one with his dick and the other with his gun and when he came he accidentally pulled the trigger. The the girl from who grows the dick comes in and rapes that guy

Pretty much. The worse ones are the people who refuse to acknowledge the English translated name of a show when it's been licensed in the US for several years.. You can't call the show "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" you have to call it "Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu". If you don't, you're not a real fan. Like real Studio Ghibli fans call it "Mononoke Hime", not "Princess Mononoke".

No, Bible Black is an exception because it's notorious for being weird. There's a lot of normal ones out there.

You can't judge anime off of that show though, it's often considered to be the most fucked up show in all of anime. It'd be like judging Buddhists because that monk set himself on fire.
