I had some fun with that. As much as I like shitting on FF7, the 1-6 camp is the dumbest.

I have 3 things to say: 1) I don't consider myself a "fan", because I've yet to finish 7; 2) as lame as it is (because I do love the storyline so far), I keep doing things to my computer and therefore have never finished 7; 3) I don't get why companies keep making MMORPGs. I know those type of games are money-sinks, but the fact that you have to pay a monthly fee to play FF14 (or TES: Online) is off-putting. It'd be nice if games would just follow the Diablo III method (without the auction house or real money auction, because those are just damn stupid [despite the reasoning behind them, which is basically Blizzard wanting to keep people from being ripped off by scammers]) and just make single player games where you can join a multiplayer party. I'm also annoyed that the next Elder Scrolls game is an MMO.

That's FF4, tbh I don't really like it that much, might be because the DS version is jacked on steroids.

No, I'm just saying, I'm not trying for any "fan cred" here.

Frankly, if you were a hardcore fan, you'd play all of FF, imho. I personally don't have the time, lol.

I was mostly just making a rant detailing the bullshit with the fandom and how silly the factions are. Especially the 1-6 fandom where they're citing 6 games, but only played 2, maybe 3 of the games and saying they're the greatest ever.

No, I get that. I just don't get all the "fan cred" with FF, especially since most people only have played a few of the games, really.

It's not really fan cred, it's more of people whining over which game is the best, despite only playing one or two games. Also depending on where you're at, which games are shit and which are amazing vary. At least with some other games like Zelda or Pokemon, you can still have conversations over "zelda's awesome!" while most Final Fantasy fandoms consist of whining and bitching because you're not in the right faction.

Then there's the Tales of series that's allegedly worse...

Well, I always was more interested in actually playing games than bitching about them. lol
