I absolutely love this band. They've gone from post-punk:

Nirvana:


Here Comes the Rain:

...to hard rock/heavy metal:

Soul Asylum:


New York City:

...to even grunge:

Real GRRRL:

...all while maintaining their own, Mixolydian-oriented, recognizable sound.

Anyone else like them as much as me? I tried including lesser-known tunes by them in this post.

The Cult are playing in Norwich (I think the first time since 1984!!!!!) I bought tickets yesterday as soon as they went on sale!

They will be doing 2 sets, 1 - the whole Electric album and 2 - they're hits

I was actually on the guestlist for the after party - some party :/ no food, no drink - not even water :o Ian and Billy took forever to come out of they're pitch black room they were sitting in so I left early Was absolutly gutted, but at least I met, hugged and had a picture taken with John Tempesta

Who heard the latest album? I saw them again in Norwich on the tour for it. The songs sounded great, but they didn't play Avalanche of Light my favourite song from the album.
Saw on Instagram Johnny T (drummer) has been doing some warm up stuff so perhaps they might tour again soon.
