Yeah, Fallout 3 falls down in a lot of places. There are very few side quests, the main quest's pretty crap and the world isn't very interesting to explore. Also, the Karma system is way too black and white. Fallout's more about moral ambiguity and every decisions having consequences beyond good and evil. Still all right for one play-through though, IMO.

Now that I'm going through Dead Money, which requires you to where an exploding collar, I know what it feels likes and let me tell you it is NOT fun.

Tom Waits' Bone Machine album makes for an excellent soundtrack to wandering the Mojave.
And the Medicine Stick is ridiculously fun.

Fallout 3 was such a great game to listen to an album or two while playing

Definitely. Or just the music in game - although all Fallouts are good for that. Ain't That A Kick In The Head is one of my favourite songs thanks to Fallout.

Fantastic tune selection is always a plus for Fallout. Though I have to say, New Vegas' songs didn't really do it for me

To be honest, it's so long since I last played Fallout 3, I can't remember the soundtrack. I just assumed it was the same as New Vegas. Tongue

I'm really into New Vegas now. Not as good as Fallout 3 but still pretty fun.

Are they making a Fallout 4? Hopefully in the spirit of 1, 2, & NV?
