You can't just "get a job" when you live on the street, look (and probably smell terrible), probably don't have ID, and don't have a mailing address. It's going to take a whole lot more than spare change at the right moment to help homelessness.
However, that wasn't actually what I was referring to. I was more referring to homeless people who go to a shelter every night, get food when they want it, and beg for booze/drug money. So, basically, a very narrow demographic.
