I love RATM. Their music is really unique. Especially Tom Morello's guitar playing.

Not listened to them for a long time but some of my favourite songs would be Take the Power Back, Bullet In The Head, Know Your Enemy (listened to this so many times when I first heard it since it has a great riff and lyrics), Year of the Boomerang, Freedom (love the metaphors and flow in this one....pack of cards), Darkness of Greed, Roll Right, Born Without a Face, Fistful of Steel, Wake Up and War Within a Breathe and basically all their tracks. Which is the one with the closing factories? I forgot.
My least favourites are Snakecharmer, Tire Me and maybe Revolver (or did I start to appreciate the lyrics to this one eventually?). Killing in The Name of and Bulls on Parade I'd say are kinda weak too since they're so repetitive and undetailed and Killing in the Name sounds too much like a teenage angst song when it's about police brutality (when I saw them Zack changed the lyrics a little bit in part of it to make it about political corruption don't remember how wasn't a major change was pretty cool though). Seeing them live was great. They were like an hour late but they stayed an hour late too (broke the sound curfew though). Before hand everyone was pushing and it seemed dangerous and I was thinking I better not get killed (ha) but when they arrived and started playing Bombtrack or Guerilla Radio (forgot, probably the latter) they stopped halfway through to tell everyone to stop pushing (people at the front barrier getting crushed a bit, although I wasn't at the very front by then) and the pushing stopped. The crowd was definitely full of a lot of people who weren't die hard Rage Against The Machine fans (I would've paid 100 quid and not eaten for 2 days after seeing them to be able to see them) what with it being a festival (I went for one day) but the crowd was still good. Zack dropped a little Palestine speech which I don't really remember. Would be cool to meet Zack and Tom (and Tim and Brad too I guess). Random comment but yeh this band changed my life for sure, even if I've come a long way since then.

I just learned yesterday that Tom Morello has a PhD in Political Science. Makes sense. And he's one of only like 3 famous musicians who has a PhD.

Tom is like Obama. Both Harvard grads, similar ages, both half-Kenyan and Tom's dad was a political activist in Kenya and now Tom's a political activist in the US while Barack Obama's father was a politician in Kenya and Barack Obama is a politician in the US. Tom Morello>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>><Barack Obama though in my opinion.

Well Tom also has a PhD while Obama only has a bachelors. Only 1 president has ever had a PhD.
