This probably wouldn't be easy to do, but what about gear reviews?

That would be kind of tough unless we have someone who works in a guitar store.

That's what I'd thought :\
Then it could not just be limited to albums; DVDs could work too.

Music DVD's? Well we could treat them like albums and include them in the reviews.

So, I can't find the thread, but wasn't there a thread where we suggested doing a "introduce bands" thing? Anyway, I was thinking, I could throw some of the bands I find on bandcamp up there, along with some older bands. Thing is, it'd be kind of lame if I'm the only one doing it, because I pretty much only look for Hardcore/Metalcore/Deathcore/various kinds of Metal on bandcamp. (Been on a Metalcore kick lately, which also leads you to discover Deathcore and Hardcore bands on bandcamp, lol.) I was thinking, it'd basically be a brief history of the band (if available), a few of their albums/EPs, link to their bandcamp/facebook/whatever page, and something where I say what I like about the band. Like I said though, it'd be lame if I was the only one doing this...
Edit: Apparently that thread was actually this thread, lol.

I keep forgetting to do that, but it seems like everyone else did.

Well, I'm genuinely interested, if someone also does stuff. I could see the basic format as
Band pic (might require permission to use, but we could always just send a message to bands on facebook) Brief history Albums/EPs that I/whoever else likes Link to facebook/bandcamp/etc. What I/whoever likes about the band It wouldn't be a full-blown review so much as "here's a new band you should check out" thing. The advantage of this is that I know some of us (read: me [and others, lel]) aren't big on writing reviews. But it could be win-win for the bands and MTB. We feature a few bands a week/month and then more people could hear about MTB (as well as exposure for bands). Thoughts?

If you're game for that, we can do it. I might have to come up with a staff position for that and access to the review forum.
I think I have to send you an invite to the review blog (or something, I can't remember how that works)

Cool.
