And tap water, because its ridiculously cheap and anything else is a huge ripoff.Of course, but it's not always obvious to get those nutrients, especially since my only mode of transport is a bus service on Tuesday night to bring students to the grocery store. As such, I can't buy too many fruits or vegetables because those go bad really fast and thus must be eaten almost immediately.
Also its not that expensive to eat healthy. You just have to keep it simple, like I've mostly just been eating a chicken breast and some steamed vegetables for dinner since I've been at school. Really its not about magical "healthy foods", its just about getting the right balance of carbs, proteins, and lipids (fats), and then you want to try to get your vitamins and minerals in as well.
I'm also trying to reduce my sugar intake because that's what I've been eating a lot more since I got here, and sugar is EVERYWHERE. Sugar can take the form of glucose, dextrose, fructose, maltodextrin, corn syrup, maltose, dextrin, agave nectar... and sometimes not just one type of sugar appears in the ingredients list of a food item. And I'm not talking Pop Tarts or anything; they appear in croissants, "hearty" breakfast cereal, rice, even fruit and fruit juice.

Tolerance to those foods are actually a mutation.
Such a first world problem...
