RE: Community Thread - Grungie - 04-15-2016 He also mentioned Atlus, but no, same forum, wrong idiot. Don't worry, they're the only two, I would have left ages ago if everyone was like that. The admin's a nice guy, but he's kind of a moron. He always has these comments or opinions that make no sense to anybody else but him. He refuses to buy from Amazon because it's sketchy as hell. We're not just talking about those random third party sellers, he also doesn't trust it if it's actually from Amazon. Why? Because. (No, I didn't forget to type something, that's pretty much it). He's also one of those weird people that'll watch a show, then find the most random fucking thing to complain about. Acting? Nah. Plot? Nah. Characterization? Nah. The fact that a woman in Jurrasic World not only spent half the movie running in heels, but also outran a fucking T-Rex in heels on concrete? Nah. But collateral damage in an anime about superhuman abilities with off the wall science experiments and a crazy lesbian roommate trying to rape the main character is where he draws his suspension of disbelief. Either that, or he'll watch a show or movie, say he likes it, but hates the entire point of the show. "I don't like how South Park is a social/pop culture commentary." Or "I don't like that Black Dynamite is a parody of Blacksploitation films". He won't say it that bluntly, but he'll give a more drawn out version that basically says that. RE: Community Thread - Hank Hill - 04-15-2016 Oh those silly billies. Amazon is so good too. RE: Community Thread - Grungie - 04-15-2016 Yeah, I got my Onodera nendoroid there. Also I'm speculating this, but I think the reason why his game is like that, is because he likes watching those fanservice anime where the entire punchline is either about the girls getting groped or the girls' undergarments are flashed. Except his game also makes it more wtf and exceptionally more pointless with how he builds an entire subplot just for that gag. RE: Community Thread - Grungie - 04-17-2016 On a more positive note and not me ranting, I think it's really cool when really amazing albums come out of left field. So today I went vinyl shopping, and I bought Gerard Way's solo album, and I really enjoyed it when I listened to it for the first time a year ago, but then I sat down and listened to it after I bought the record, and it's really really amazing. Nobody expected him to come out with a fuzzy Britpop album, but damn did he kick it out of the ballpark. The next surprise is Weezer's White Album. This is a band that a lot of people (including myself) lost faith in, because after their amazing, but sadly forgotten, album Maladroit, they were in this decade long period of writing a pop rock hit, then realizing that they had to release an album, then pushed out a half-assed album. They continued to release several poorly received albums to the point of people petitioning for them to stop releasing music. They released two of the most celebrated albums of the 90's, we all knew they had it in them. Then in 2014, they released Everything Will Be Alright in the End, and was a big step in the right direction. While it was only good, it was lightyears better than what they released before. Then this album came out, I kind of ignored it until I heard about all the praise it was getting, and when I listened to it, I was surprised that they still had it in them. They were like the underdog that everyone was cheering on, and I think their fans' voices finally got to them, and they finally released something that's actually really good for the first time in a decade without having to rehash their old stuff like the previous album. Good job Weezer, good job. RE: Community Thread - Skyward - 04-17-2016 Ooh, as far as buying music goes, I just bought a MCR album (ironically), and I picked up 12 of Adrian Von Zieglar's digital albums (180 some off songs) from Groupees. They were doing a thing where you could spend a minimum of three dollars to get twelve of his albums, and twenty percent went to clean water projects. If the whole project reaches three thousand, the final thirteenth album will be given to everyone who donated. RE: Community Thread - Grungie - 04-18-2016 $3 for 12 albums? Seems like a minuscule price for a charity fund RE: Community Thread - Skyward - 04-18-2016 (04-18-2016, 05:04 AM)Grungie Wrote: $3 for 12 albums? Seems like a minuscule price for a charity fund Last I checked it raised a couple thousand dollars. I personally paid $5, seeing as you can choose to pay however much you want. RE: Community Thread - Grungie - 04-18-2016 In other news, I'm finally getting around to getting the master tracks from my old recordings, and filtering them through Logic Pro to make them sound better. This is gonna be fun. RE: Community Thread - Mr. Grieves - 04-19-2016 (04-17-2016, 07:27 PM)Grungie Wrote: The next surprise is Weezer's White Album.
