Honestly, I think most people who eat healthy and exercise merely to look good tend to in actuality be self-destructive. What's paramount is being healthy, and honestly, that's more attractive than being unnaturally skinny.

But yeah, I try my best to eat well. It's just not really obvious.

Well yeah, it depends on how you do it. And the body building level of carb counting is not necessarily healthy. There definitely is a certain balance of protein, carbs, and lipids that leaves you feeling better and having more energy, which does tend to lower you body fat if you have that issue. But yeah, the focus should be more on health. I will admit that I'm concerned about my looks and that is a big part of why I lift weights, but I also just enjoy exercising and being able to do things with my body.

I think basically as long as long as you eat a wide variety of things and don't have an overabundance of lipids or carbs you're going to be pretty healthy, barring any specific food intolerances.

Right. I mainly try to have a balanced diet Confusedhrug:

Well for a balance things have to be cancelling out each other in some way. That's the nature of a balance: counteracting forces.

Not heard of that with salt/sodium but from what I see looking it up sites saying that high sodium giving you higher blood pressure is a myth are just saying the thing about your sodium:pottasium mattering.

What's backup cholesterol? HDL? LDL? Something else altogether?

My diet nowadays is 2-3 small slices of brown bread with (strawberry atm) jam, 9 slices of bread with about 15g of chocolate peanut spread on each one spaced out into 3 meals through the day, 100g of plain cashew nuts, whatever 2 main meals I have in the day and about 500ml of milk and some juice and water with my meals. Still gotta improve that though since my meals are pretty random at the moment might have fish fingers (don't think you have those in the US but the ones I have are just 100% fish with breadcrumbs) with peas/potato-based stuff but then other days I have some random rice and "curry" (I've mostly never used that word myself hence speech marks) like lentils or chicken from one of the local takeaways down the road, which is decent except it can be salty and oily although it's not hard to avoid a lot of the oil.
If I start eating bananas I shouldn't really be missing the RDA for anything or going way over.

Growing up my diet was basically a ridiculous amount of carbs. People all don't get how I eat so much even though I'm skinny. Not even exaggerating. I eat less in front of people so I don't freak them the f out.

I'm going to have an apple and peanut butter now, for good measure.

because it also feels really good.

On the topic of eating well. I'm hoping to get to the point where I don't have to really watch what I eat. My dad is really muscular and he can eat whatever the fuck he wants cuz his metabolism is so ridiculous. Right now though, I just mainly eat what will forward my workout goals. A lot of protein for breakfast and lunch which bookend the workout. And then with dinner I'll just eat whatever.

Though my family is all pretty skinny. My one brother is 6 foot and weighs 125 pounds. And he calculated he eats 4000+ calories a day and usually just sits and plays video games. Some people just don't gain weight. :haha:

RE: 2 pɐǝɹɥʇ ʎʇıunɯɯoɔ - JCizzle - 02-16-2014

I would know. I'm one of those people :haha:

I'm actually underweight, and I stabilize around 112 pounds.

RE: 2 pɐǝɹɥʇ ʎʇıunɯɯoɔ - Grungie - 02-16-2014

I'm a fatass, I'm 160

RE: 2 pɐǝɹɥʇ ʎʇıunɯɯoɔ - Danjo - 02-17-2014

You only weigh 112?! How tall are you? I consider myself skinny but I weigh like 165. And I know I'm still underweight for my height.

RE: 2 pɐǝɹɥʇ ʎʇıunɯɯoɔ - Grungie - 02-17-2014

Danjo must be taller than me if 165 is underweight
